Tuesday, February 17, 2015 @ 12:44 PM

Prince George, B.C. – Burns Lake native and Prince George resident Emily Dickson has earned her second medal of the Canada Winter Games.

This after she won silver this morning in the 7.5 km biathlon sprint out at Otway Nordic Centre.biathlon

This adds to the bronze medal she won over the weekend in the 12.5 km biathlon.

“It’s quite the feeling, I’m super happy that’s for sure. There was a little bit of pressure coming into the Games competing in my home town in front of all of my family and supporters that have helped me get to this point. So to be able to do that alone is just an awesome, awesome feeling.”

She has a chance to add to her medal count when she competes in the 10 km biathlon pursuit and relay events tomorrow.

“I’m just going to see how well I can execute it and I know I can be up at the top, I’ve been there before. It’s going to be exciting and I’m looking forward to it.”
