TeamBC on Target for Bronze in Air Pistol

Prince George, B.C. – At the age of 12, Brian Ng is one of the youngest competitors at the Canada Winter Games, and he has secured a bronze medal.Ng, from Langley, and Dakota O’Donovan of Merritt aimed their way to the podium today. The two have only been competing in the sport for about 18 months.
“I am so happy to have competed with a partner who can shoot like Dakota,” said Ng. “He did great.”
The bronze medal marked the greatest accomplishment to date for both athletes.
Alberta picked up the gold medal, while Saskatchewan took silver.

Great to see young competitors getting into it, like the one they did a story on CKPG with the bow and arrow competition. I am a bit at a loss as to the relevance to the winter games but can’t all be skiing and skating I guess.
What’s with having partners in air pistol? I don’t see what the team aspect is. It’s entirely a matter of individual skill, isn’t it? It isn’t like hockey where the players perform different roles and work together.
