Prince George, B.C. – It’s transition day for the Canada Winter Games with thousands of athletes coming and going.

For some members of the departing Yukon curling team, their experience in Prince George will provide memories to last a lifetime.

“It (the Games) was probably more than I expected,” says Bailey Muir-Cressman. “It’s quite grandiose and it’s really cool. They’ve got everything planned out to the minute and it’s all been super fun. Everyone was really nice and sort of accepting.”

His teammate Brayden Klassen agrees.

“It was fun, I mean we lost a lot of games, won a few games, it was fun though. Everyone was great, the volunteers were awesome. The whole set-up was great.”

As for his favourite memory he jokingly says the accommodations.

“The showers at the Ramada. The entire bathroom was glass, so when you closed the door it just fogged up. Nah, the Games probably.”

Comments

One thing I have heard a lot is the athletes were very impressed with the venues and the athletes “village” and the people here in the city were friendly and outgoing and very helpful

Good to see
