Single Event Tickets Offered for Hockey and Figure Skating
Prince George, B.C. – A new ticketing option for hockey and figure skating fans is now available.
This as the Canada Winter Games has decided to offer a $10 single event ticket for one event at CN Centre, Lakewood Dental Arena or Kin 2.
“We found that hockey was having trouble and what we’ve discovered was the $18 ticket to get you into the events at Lakewood Dental, Kin 2 and the CN Centre didn’t go well late in the day,” says Games CEO Stu Ballantyne. “And so we opted to go to a $10 ticket price for single events in the CN Centre and Kin arenas.”
He adds the $18 ticket didn’t seem to connect with hockey fans.
“Clearly people are used to a normal hockey model where they would go to one game and so we felt that the $10 price was effective and didn’t violate any of our other passes and offers out there. So it took us a while to get to it and I wish we brought it in last week with women’s hockey but certainly we’re working to try and fill the venues for the athlete experience and for people to enjoy these great sports.”
The $10 single event ticket option is not available for men’s semi-finals, bronze and gold medal hockey games.
Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster at CN Centre.

Better late than never. The other situation where every venue has no clue what they should be charging for a 4 year old has yet to be rectified. More confusion again today. Great fun otherwise!
