Four Charged as Probe into Dawson Creek Shooting Continues

Dawson Creek, B.C.- Four people have been arrested and face charges as the investigation into a kidnapping a shooting that took place last  weekend in Dawson Creek continues .

Officers from Ft. St. John, Dawson Creek and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, continue to investigate the kidnapping  and shooting of a 26 year old male during the early morning hours of February 21st ( see previous story).

Police have executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1600 block of 95th Avenue in Dawson Creek where they seized a number of stolen firearms, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl pills and an undisclosed amount of cash from the target residence.

Charges have been laid against the following people in relation to the search warrant execution:

  • 19 year old Jaskarn Singh Lally has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
  • 26 year old Christopher Stewart Westlake has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
  • 19 year old Avinder Singh Sidhu has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
  • 22 year old Anthony Jospeh Larson has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, failure to comply with his conditions, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Police anticipate additional charges being recommended against these four individuals in relation to this incident.

This investigation remains active and ongoing and police are still attempting to locate a number of persons of interest in this matter
