Valemount, B.C.- Was it a case of dumb and dumber?

A 22 year old man from Alberta has been released to appear  in cour,  at a future date,  after being picked up while riding his snowmobile on a gravel shoulder on Highway Number  5 near Valemount last Wednesday.

According to police, the man had been driving a pickup when it broke down . He thought it would be a good idea to drive his snowmobile on the gravel shoulder back to Valemount.

When the police spotted the sled, they pulled it over only to discover that the operator was impaired, impaired to a point where he was two times over the legal limit.

Police then further learned that he was under a Canada wide ban from driving .

He was charged with driving over .08 and driving while prohibited.
