Prince George, B.C. – Five members of the Black Diamond Lanes five pin bowling team out of Prince George are British Columbia provincial champion gold medalists and are heading to the national championships in Toronto in May.
At the Provincial Roll-off tournament in Langley the Senior Girls team of Kassidy Johnson, Megan Reimer, Lezzyl Aquino and Paige Meise bowled four games with a total pin fall of 3,759 to win the gold medal. Those same four girls were the Junior 2013 Canadian National Champions and will try to duplicate that feat this year in the Senior Girls age group.
In fact Kassidy Johnson has an opportunity to be able to compete at two national championships this year. She’ll be representing BC at the 5-Pin Youth Challenge at the end of March in Edmonton along with five other bowlers from around the province before heading to the nationals in Toronto from May 2nd to 4th.
Also at the provincials, Black Diamond’s Jayden Arnett (right) won the Bantam Girls Singles gold medal with a 5-game score of 996. She has competed previously at the national level with a bantam girl’s team but will be there this year as the BC representative in the Bantam Girls singles competition.

Way to PG bowlers.
5 or 10 pin?
Fantastic and go luck at the nationals
Congratulations everyone, great job! Take the Nationals again this year.
Looking at the downtown I always figured the old Odeon theater would make an excellent place for a large bowling alley. Larger with prominent street appeal and exposure. Neighbors might not mind a bowling alley, and it should fit for zoning.
Then a night club could go in where the bowling alley on 5th is currently at… in an ideal world if keeping that kind of stuff centrally located is the goal.
