UNBC Students to Hold Rally
Prince George, B.C. – With talks between UNBC and its Faculty Association at a standstill, students have organized a rally for next week.
According to a Facebook posting, it will take place next Thursday at noon in Canada Games Plaza and is being put on by the Northern BC Graduate Student Society.
“We are calling on all students, faculty, CUPE, university administration AND community members to join us on Thursday and hear what we have to say and to have classes back in session as quickly as possible!” reads the posting.
“We Need the community support as UNBC is an integral part of this northern community. The university has brought access to education to the entire northern part of this province.”
Further, it says “the uncertainty of the labour action has had profound impacts on students and we need to take a stand.”

Have to get the Chinese student population involved. It was only Chinese overseas pressure that got Christy Clark back to negotiations with teachers last year.
