Quesnel Mounties Seek Robbery Suspect

Quesnel, B.C. – RCMP in Quesnel are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted  in connection  with an early morning armed hold up in  that city.

Just past 4:30 this morning, RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store located on the 200 block of Anderson Drive.

A lone male, described as Caucasian, wearing a black hoodie, dark cap, jeans, and white basketball shoes, entered the store and threatened the clerk with a small axe.

The male fled the store on foot with a small amount of cash, lottery tickets, and 5 cartons of cigarettes.

“This is a serious incident” says Acting Quesnel Detachment Commander, Sgt. Andrew Burton “We are asking the public that if anybody saw or heard anything regarding this incident to please call the RCMP at 250-992-9211250-992-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-84771-800-222-8477 FREE.”
