Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Public Library will be hosting a very special guest this coming Saturday.
Retired Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire, noted humanitarian and mental health advocate, will be there to sign copies of his new book, Shake Hands with the Devil, from 4-5 pm.
Dallaire’s library appearance will precede his keynote speaking engagement at the 2015 Dr.Bob Ewert Memorial Lecture and Dinner, later that night at the Civic Centre.
The annual event honours Dr. Bob Ewert, the first medical specialist in Prince George, and is a key fundraiser for the Northern Medical Programs Trust, an endowment fund that supports students in healthcare studies at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).

This is very good news. General Dallaire is one of the true heroes of our time.
Why? More like unfortunate pawn for the west’s insatiable need to allow the UN to dither while Africans suffer.
Dallaire was no pawn. He rejected the UN order to abandon the people under his care to mobs of machete wielding thugs… He is a true leader and hero when under a crisis situation and his actions save many thousands of people from genocide. When the Dutch pulled out in great shame leaving the country to genocide Dallaire picked up the remenants of the mission and made Canada proud.
Clinton wanted no part in protecting innocents in Africa and Dallaire paid the price for it, but he was no pawn of the west in defying their orders… Answering his conscience as a higher power.
