Victim of Morricetown Rollover Identified

Prince George, B.C. – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a Smithers man killed in a single-vehicle accident in Morricetown over the Easter long weekend.

Randy Basil Mitchell, aged 47, was riding in the back seat of a vehicle which left Highway 16 and rolled at Corya Creek in Moricetown, about 30 kilometres west of Smithers, shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday.

Mitchell was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Regional Coroner Donita Kuzma says the BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the incident leading to the death.
