Condolences For Crash Victims
Prince George, B.C. – The management and staff at YXS have expressed their condolences regarding this week’s cargo plane crash which claimed the lives of two pilots from Vancouver.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, friends and colleagues of the two Carson Air pilots involved in Monday’s crash,” said John Gibson, President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority. “Tragic events such as this impact everyone in the tight knit aviation community.”
Carson Air Flight 66 departed YVR just before 7 am Monday and was due to arrive at YXS one hour later.
Shortly after take-off however, Nav Canada lost contact with the plane, which was later discovered to have crashed near Mount Seymour in North Vancouver.
The Transportation Safety Board told 250 News yesterday the investigation into the cause of the crash could take months to complete.
