Exchange Food for Compost at Landfill

Prince George, B.C. – Spring is in the air and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George would like you to have a head start in getting your garden ready.

The Regional District is inviting residents to the Foothills Landfill today from 1:00-5:00 pm with a donation of non-perishable food items to be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul’s Society.

In return, the Regional District will give you a free truckload of NorGrow Compost.

Norgrow is the bulk compost available at the Landfill and is classified as a Class A compost.

It is also produced in accordance with the Provincial Organic Matter Recycling Regulation and is produced from local yard and garden waste.

When I used it was nice stuff. Looks like mostly leaves and branches. They could have promoted this more. It’s to late for me today.
