Kitimat, B.C. – The strike at the District of Kitimat is headed to mediation.

Unifor Local 2300 got the ball rolling when it applied for the services of a mediator on Tuesday.

The District has agreed and the appointed mediator has asked both parties to set aside May 1-4 as potential dates for initial meetings.

127 Unifor members walked off the job February 28th. The main sticking points between both sides have been wages and workplace issues.
