Power To Be Restored Around Midnight

Friday, April 17, 2015 @ 4:54 PM

Prince George, B.C. – B.C. Hydro officials say it will likely be just after midnight before power is restored to several customers in outlying areas affected by ten outages during this afternoon’s wind storm in the vicinity of Prince George.

A total of 693 customers are without power including 156 in the Otway Road-Miworth area.  Another 128 are out in an area north of Highway 16, west of Hartman Road and east of Musa Road.  Other areas affected include Summit Lake Road, Chief Lake Road, Ness Lake Road, Hoodoo Lake Road and Marlin Drive.

The wind storm is responsible for all ten outages, bringing trees down across Hydro lines in some of those locations.

Again power should be restored by about 12:30 am.

Here on the Hart the power went off for a second or two and came back on. Very odd.

Mine was out for 2 and a half hours in the Hart.
