Prince George, B.C. – They didn’t win gold but Canada still made the podium at the world Under-18 hockey championships in Switzerland.
Canada beat the host Swiss team 5-2 today to capture the bronze medal. They had dropped a 7-2 decision to the U.S. in Saturday’s semi-final to fall out of the championship title match. The gold medal game was between the Americans and Finland.
Prince George Cougars centre Jensen Harkins scored once in the victory over Switzerland. Harkins had five points in the tournament.
