Williams Lake, B.C. – An assault investigation in Williams Lake uncovered more than police were bargaining for.

Last Thursday, the Williams Lake RCMP received a call of an assault that occurred at a home on Mackenzie Avenue.

After obtaining a search warrant, police entered the home and located the following:

Approximately $1800.00 in cash
500 grams of “Magic Mushrooms”
18 grams of cocaine.
55 grams cannabis
9 tabs of LSD
Total street value of the drugs seized is estimated to be around $5000.

North District Corporal Dave Tyreman says one adult male was arrested and will appear in court at a later date.

He says no other information will be released at this time though he notes “this matter is still very active and ongoing.”
