Valemount, B.C. – Budget challenges will be debated at tonight’s monthly Prince George & District School Board meeting.
It will feature a report by the 2015/16 Budget Consultation Expanded Committee of the Whole and a list of recommendations to try and deal with a $3.3-million dollar shortfall in their next budget.
Those recommendations include investigating opportunities to increase revenue to the school district through advertising, the leasing of vacant space, and through user fees.
Members of the committee include teachers, parents, administration, exempt staff, trustees, and members of the P.G. Principals and Vice-Principals Association.
The meeting starts at 7:00pm and takes place at Valemount Secondary School.
