Car Crash Causes Power Outage – Update

Prince George, B.C. – A car crash caused a power outage in Prince George this evening.
As a result, close to 1,400 BC Hydro customers were thrust into the dark.
The collision happened just after 7 near North Ospika Boulevard and Otway Road.
Affected areas included south of Nechako Road and west of Ospika Boulevard.
BC Hydro had power restored by 8:20pm.

Our lights flickered a couple of times but no power loss. Good thing cause the 90min David Letterman Retrospective was awesome
Thanks for the info 250. Was wondering what had happened. Our power was out for just over half an hour. Kudos to BC Hydro for the quick response.
I was in the area at that time biking. I must have just missed it. That’s kind of scary. Hope the people in the vehicle are alright.
