Prince George, B.C. – The invitation’s been issued for  hockey fans in Prince George to  be at the CN Centre Atrium tomorrow morning to  hear  a special announcement from  the Vancouver Canucks.Canucks President, Hockey Operations, Trevor Linden will be on hand, as will   Mayor Lyn Hall , P.G Cougars President Greg Pocock and Lheidli T’enneh Chief Dominic Frederick.

The nature of the announcement is not known,  but  the  buzz  of speculation is already  audible in the community.

The Cougars have already established a solid relationship with the Canucks,  borrowing many of the NHL team’s  motivational and marketing ideas.

The news conference is set for 10:30 in the morning.

They going to have an exhibition game here at the CN Centre?

I am sure it will be a Canucks training camp in September.

Can’t play hockey, may as well train this winter……….

So cheif dominic gets an invite cause its their land the cn center sits on?

big announcement is training camp. Looks like I may have to get back in shape and secure a spot on the third line.

Oh thank goodness the Lheidli T’enneh had representation…. lol

Gotta figure one of 3 things: training camp, exhibition game or possibly one of those rookie/prospect tournaments NHL clubs run. Training camps are pretty short these days. Last year it was 4 days long and held in Whistler.
