Highway 97 Remains Closed North of P.G.

Prince George, B.C.- Highway 97 north remains closed to all traffic at Wright Creek , about 27kms north of Prince George, and will remain closed until at least 3 p.m.
The highway was closed to all traffic at 11 this morning to allow crews to make some maintenance repairs to the crossing of Wright Creek. Initially it was predicted the highway would reopen at 2 but DriveBC says that has now been extended to 3 pm.
There is no detour.

You ever notice it is the greyed haired guying doing the work and the rest are watching him.
Not sure if it will be open three by the look of things. Most likely one lane if opened.

Updated now as closed until 4PM…
One lane could be opened if the job was stopped for awhile but that may run into overtime and can’t have that.
Drive BC now says 4pm
Just starting to fill the hole then it will have to be tamped.
Hey, maybe try again tomorrow folks, these rock solid professionals are really giving it their best. It’s just a highway, it’s not like it’s important.
Really, tell that to the logging trucks. School buses those trying to get to and from work well I hope you get the idea.

One lane open in minutes
Double pullout now… Maybe next time they do it at night on their other dime?
At night? That means lights, generators, electrical trades, and likely more. LOL
So line 1000 trucks out to summit lake instead all on double time asmall some have waited 7 hours to get through.
