Evacuation Orders Rescinded
Prince George, B.C. – In a joint release, the Regional District of Bulkley- Nechako and Fraser Fort George have announced evacuation orders have been rescinded, but evacuation alerts remain in place now that the Little Bobtail Lake Fire is fully contained.
The Evacuation Order that was issued for the Bobtail Lake area has been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert as of 9 this morning. Residents returning to their homes are warned to watch for hotspots in the area. Any concerns should be reported to the Wildfire Management Branch at 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on mobile.
The new evacuation alert area now includes area south of Highway 16 from Sob Lake Road to the eastern boundary of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako south to the end of Naltesby Lake including the all lands east of the Bobtail Forest Service Road and the Bobtail Connector Forest Service Road Blackwater Road, Bobtail Forest Service Road, Bobtail Connector Forest Service Road, Sob Lake Road, Little Bobtail Lake, Naltesby Lake, and Eulatazella Lake and the Cluculz Lake area, as shown on the map at right.
There are 839 dwellings within the Evacuation Alert area.
In the Regional District Fraser-Fort George , the Evacuation Order that was issued for the Norman Lake area has been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert as of 8:00 am Sunday.
There are 130 properties in this Evacuation Alert area.
An Evacuation Alert remains in effect for 122 properties in the area around Bednesti Lake, Berman Lake, and Dahl Lake Road areas as a result of a wildland interface fire in the area.
