Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Cougars General Manager Todd Harkins has been busy.

This as the team announced the signing of their top 3 picks from this year’s WHL Bantam Draft Monday: Jackson Leppard, Jonas Harkins, and Tyler Ho, all of whom played last year with the North Shore Winter Club.

The trio signed standard WHL player agreements, including Leppard, chosen eighth overall.

“We are thrilled to add a player of Jackson’s calibre to our franchise,” said Harkins. ” Fans will love the way that he competes for pucks. He’s tenacious, and has tremendous offensive upside.”

Cougars scout Trevor Sprague describes Harkins son Jonas as not only a great competitor, but a solid defenceman.

“He’s a steady, responsible, stay-at-home defenceman who protects his net, makes a strong first pass, and does a great job of separating his opponents from the puck.”

Harkins says Ho is no slouch either “Tyler brings a little bit of everything to the table. He’s an intelligent player who can play many different types of roles.”
