Mail Thief in Chetwynd
Chetwynd, B.C.- RCMP in Chetwynd are looking for the person who broke into some Canada Post mail boxes this week.According to police, between the night of Sunday May 31st and 6 am Monday June 1st,
Sometime between May 31, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. to June 1, 2015 at 6:00 a.m. someone entered the lobby of the Canada Post office on 50th Street in Chetwynd and broke open about 27 [pstal boxes and made off with the contents.
Although some mail was recovered shortly afterwards, it isn’t known just exactly what was taken.
Police are working with Canada Post to solve this serious offence and reaching out to the public for information.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or someone hanging around the Post Office during the times of the theft is asked to contact Chetwynd RCMP (250-788-9221) or CrimeStoppers. (1-800-222-8477).
Police are also advising that if residents were expecting unaccounted for mail such as cheques, replacement credit cards, credit card statements, and the like, that may have any account numbers or personal information on them, to immediately notify the associated company and advise of the situation and they will provide security instructions to you.

Why would this kind of thing increase 15 Inch Detective? It’s not like there haven’t been community boxes around forever in rural areas. Your coment just sounds like the generalized whining, that is becoming so common regarding this issue.
Times change, people change. There is so much less postal mail coming to our houses. Most people get bills etc… online.
