Aggressive Forest Fire South of Lytton

Prince George, B.C.- The Wildfire Management Branch is dealing with an aggressive fire West of the Fraser River, south of Lytton .
Discovered earlier today, the fire is already estimated to be about 600 hectares in size and is being fanned by winds of 40 to 60 km/hour.
The Wildfire Management Branch says this is an interface fire, and the blaze is “displaying aggressive behaviour”. The fire is also centred in an area with difficult terrain.
There are 22 firefighters on site, with 20 more expected to arrive shortly. Three helicopters are providing bucketing support .
