Prostate Cancer Ride For Dad Today
Prince George, B.C. – The Northern BC Telus Motorcycle Ride for Dad goes today in Prince George to raise money for the fight against prostate cancer and raise public awareness of the disease.
The local ride leaves from the Kinsmen Hall at 11 this morning and concludes at 3:30pm. Along the way participants can enjoy a lunch and take part in a poker run and other activities which are all geared toward raising money to aid research into prostate cancer.
Funds are raised right across Canada through motorcycle, snowmobile, watercraft and ATV ride events as well as ongoing public fundraising throughout the year. Since 2000, the Telus Ride For Dad has donated more than 15 million dollars to the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation.
Even if you’re not taking part in the Ride for Dad you can still donate to the prostate cancer research cause by going to the TELUS Ride For Dad website.

$15,000,000 from one fundraiser alone. Wow! So, what can you tell me about how the research is coming? Are they researching the cause, or the cure? Do they have any advice how I can keep from getting prostate cancer? Or, do they know what causes it?
