Search Underway for Top 40 Under 40
Prince George, B.C. – Do you know someone under the age of 40 who is making a big difference in the community?
If yes, then the Prince George Chamber of Commerce would like to hear from you as they’re currently accepting nominations for the 2016 edition of their ‘Top 40 under 40’ publication.
“Excitement has been building for the next ‘Top 40 under 40’,” says CEO Christie Ray. “We have received a number of inquiries about when the nominations will open. This reflects both the interest in the community in celebrating our exceptional, youthful talent, and the depth of that talent in Prince George.”
She adds “nominees will be short listed based on a range of criteria, including professional achievement, experience, innovation, leadership and community involvement.”
Can people be renominated if they’ve won in the past?
“Of course. The only rule is that the nominees must be under 40 by the end of December, 2015.”
Ray isn’t anticipating there will be much overlap regardless.
“Not even remotely. We’re just starting the process here with the 2016 edition but for the 2014 edition we had 99 nominees and only an overlap of three individuals from the year before.”
Nominations must be in by July 10, and can be submitted by clicking here. Publication date is set for early 2016.

This is the moment Mr ‘Hell Yeah PG’ has been waiting for! Hopefully paying for all those coffees in the Timmy’s drive-thru made a difference! Hurry up weirdo buddies! It’s time to nominate!
I hear you sunshine.north. As much as I appreciate Hell Yeah PG- I am deeply disturbed by the lack of understanding- Sure I will give away $100.00 to some possible do-gooder, because that is the cheapest advertising I could ever get, especially when I can write it off as a donation. You will never see my business on there posted by the admins….why, because I will donate to the actual charities and non-profits that need it. “like” my business page and I will donate to the local community association- $1.00 for every like we get- That would be a donation. Not “We will advertise your business if you give us money to give away to our followers”. We will look awesome and NO you cannot do it yourself- that would be advertising your business and only we can advertise your business at a cost, but someone else can give you a hell yeah…..that is okay. Okay rant done. I still like Hell Yeah, it really has shown how many great people we have in this city. But the gray area of advertising/donations is too nonsensical to me.
Hell Yeah is just a bunch of buddies advertising for themselves under the guise of doing something for PG. I left when the one admin starting hawking his buddies e-cigarette business.
I vote for Gus.. It’s so nice here since he stopped posting :)
