Prince George, B.C.-  You have until  5 p.m. today, to pay your property taxes if you want to avoid a penalty.

The City has circulated about 28 thousand  tax bills  as it  looks to  collect  about $89 million dollars in revenue  to cover the costs for  2015.

You  can still apply for the homeowner grant by the end of the day  even if  you don’t plan on paying your taxes  by the deadline.

While those with  mortgages often have their taxes tied to their  mortgage payments,  there were still line ups at some banks on  Tuesday and yesterday   as folks  waited  to  ensure their  tax bills were paid on time.
