Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George are seeking a suspect in a case that had officers combing Rainbow Park in Prince George in the wee hours of the morning.
According to police, they received a call around 3:15 this morning that an adult female, walking home, had been approached by an adult male in the area of Rainbow Park. The woman told police the man had made a threat, and was holding what appeared to be a handgun.

I wonder why she would be walking home @ 3:15am ? maybe need to re-evaluate her responsibilities?? Was she just off work ? maybe could catch a cab or a ride with someone from work?
Not to judge, or blame the victim, but what the hell was she doing out at 03:00 am in the morning in rainbow park which is just around the corner from ahbau st.
She lives in the area? Safer than driving home after a couple drinks? Just getting off a late work shift? Would you be asking the same question if it was a male instead of female? You say you aren’t judging but your questions say differently.
I used to walk home from friends houses all the time at all different hours of the morning. And home from work after closing at 2 in the morning.
You forgot to ask what she was wearing Imorge, I assume that plays into your opinion aswell.
“When a person begins with `Not to judge or blame the victim” you can rest assured, the are going to judge and blame the victim.
It has nothing to do with blame………but we all know it’s not safe to be out late at night….man or woman!
” in the area of Rainbow Park.” not in the park
A woman on the streets alone at 3:00 am, seriously, he was just asking an honest question.
Agreed…….common sense is not so common these days!
Nobody ever asks why the scum-bag was out & about at 3:00am.
We know why the scum bag was out at that time: to commit B&E’s, to rob, to steal from vehicles. And yes give more: its an honest question the police would be asking her also. Thank you. And yes, I would ask the same question to the person if it was a male also. That is not a great part of town to be out in at that time of night for anyone. The spruceland area has always had a steady rate of crime.
Just a guess, but maybe she was out celebrating Canada Day and was walking home afterwards?
Seriously people, you’ve NEVER been up in the wee hours of the morning after a party or some other type of gathering? Were you raised in a bubble?
“RCMP in Prince George are warning the public about what they are calling two “similar sexually motivated attacks” over the past week… “We are warning all members of the public, especially females walking alone, to be cautious, be aware of their surroundings, and obviously try not to walk alone whenever possible.” ~ CBC Day Break North, Wednesday December 18, 2013.
There are not many places where the RCMP would publicly announce such a warning to the female population, but apparently Prince George is one of those places, a sad commentary really.
“but apparently Prince George is one of those places”….
Do you mean PG is more dangerous than average or Prince George residents are dumber than average ?
What’s your answer to your question Digitus Impudicus.
You forgot the question mark Palopu.
Are you serious DI? Prince George was ranked as the most dangerous city in Canada three years in a row, by McLeans Magazine. This story for the Huffington Post came out only 2 years ago.

Did you really have to ask; “Did you mean PG is more dangerous than average…”?
I think everyone by now has heard of the hi-way of tears. Despite whatever the peoples circumstances are, women and young gals are still seen hitch-hiking on Hwy 16 West.
So my answer to Palopu’s question has to be… “both”.
Was the ranking based on this news that made us number one ??? I think not ,,, get a life ,, move if you feel you need to stay safe . I feel blessed to live in such a nice place. Get outside :)
