Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is getting more in traffic fine revenue this year than last.
Delivered in two payments, the total amount of the P.G. share of the traffic fine pie this year is $1,113,368.00. That’s well above the $821,861 delivered to Prince George last year.
The increase is not a reflection of more tickets being handed out or paid, it all has to do with the change in programs.
Last year was the final year of a multi year program called the Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF). Under that program, there were accelerated payments in the first three years of the program(2009 thorugh 2012) and reduced payments in the final two.
