Valemount Lift Station Funded
Valemount, B.C.- The community of Valemount has received federal and Provincial funding to replace its Fifth Avenue Lift Station.
The Federal and Provincial governments have each contributed $235 thousand dollars to the project. The Village of Valemount will pick up the balance of the overall project cost of $705 thousand dollars.
The lift station replacement will ensure the community will be adequately served by a wastewater collection system. The work will include the installation of a lnew lift station which has increased capacity and a standby generator. The project also includes upgrades to the electrical kiosk and some real time monitoring systems.
The funding from the senior levels of government is from the Small Communities Fund which makes dollars available for priority public infrastructure projects.
