Willow River, B.C. – A chili contest, belly dancers and live music.
There was all that and more on display at this year’s 22nd annual Willow River Daze.
“We also had the Prince George Public Library, The Exploration Place and the Centennial celebrations and (Prince George band) Black Spruce Bog,” said event coordinator Erin Bamber. “When I saw them at the Canada Winter Games I thought I’ve got to book them.”
She added the event is the biggest of the year and helps bring area communities together.
“It does because we are Willow River but we encompass the entire East Line now,” said Bamber. “We’ve really tried to bring our communities together for one really good event.”
