Get Ready For Summerfest
Prince George, B.C.-The City’s Centennial celebrations are wrapping up with the focus on downtown today and Summerfest.
The events start at 11:00 this morning with the main stage at 6th and George.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Summerfest without the Taste Pavilion which will run along 7th Avenue and George Street in front of City Hall.
There will be 19 restaurants participating in this year’s Taste Pavilion, offering everything from cupcakes to deep fried pickles. The restaurants will not accept cash, so you are advised to buy your taste tickets at the ticket booth which will be located in Veteran’s Plaza
The event will include plenty of entertainment on the main stage, a magic show, a fish pond, a frosty contest and concerts in the evening. The Centennial celebrations wrap with a fireworks display at 10:30 tonight.
There will be road closures, at 6th and Dominion , 7th and Dominion, George and 5th, and George and Patricia Boulevard.
The map below will give you an idea of what’s happening where.

250News…is there any way that you can make your images ‘clickable’ to enlarge them? I can’t count the number of times I’ve wanted to see something that you’ve posted to the site and not had the ability. Thanks!
