Prince George, B.C. – Mounties continue to investigate yesterday’s fire in one of the holding cells at the new Prince George RCMP detachment on Victoria Street.

“We’re certainly looking into the specifics here but from time to time people do manage to smuggle things into cells,” says Corporal Craig Douglass. “We have a certain limitation in how we can search and for what.”

He adds police have to “sort of justify being able to really get into searching people” though they do have the use of a metal detector.

“It’s a little unusual that it’s a lighter, usually it’s contraband such as drugs or something like that that might be hidden,” notes Douglass. “In this case it got through and we are certainly concerned about that and looking into that further. But I’m sure at the same time it probably won’t be the last time that something makes it into the cells.”

Arson related charges are anticipated against the 43 year old male occupant of the cell.

His name will only be released if the charges are approved.

specifics are easy…
someone didn’t frisk the prisoner very well before put him into a cell…
such as having them invert their pockets….maybe?

Maybe it wasn’t in his “pocket”. Sheriffs do a complete body search but the police are hampered in doing that without good suspicion.

Don’t rule out Global Warming! Don’t forget that this is still under investigation. We did have some lightning over the weekend.

What was he on? Did he think he could blame it on someone else?

HIs name, “Total Idiot”

“We have a certain limitation in how we can search and for what.” Hmmm… you mean like strip search the women and just pat down the men?

Ohreally, careful, you are showing signs of me being inside your head, I wouldn’t want you to turn into a Hart Guy.

Why are there limitations in the first place… I thought you searched someone so they could cause no harm to themselves or anyone else..

See above.. as for the use of a metal detector…you dont mention if it was used or not.. also hard to find a pack of matches with one..

Mistakes where made.. so fix it so they arent made again..

Ohreslly, looks like I got into Sophie’s head!

In case you are wondering, yes, there is lots and lots of empty space in there, haha! ;-)

Oops, should read ohreally! Old eyes, fat fingers and small smartphone keypads do not mix, haha!
