PG Relay For Life Tops Again
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George is once again the top Relay For Life event in Canada.
So far this year’s event (donations are still coming in) has raised more than $519,000, topping second place Terrebonne, Quebec by almost $50,000 ($472,000).
“Congratulations and thank you to everyone who supported Prince George’s 23rd annual Relay For Life in any way,” said Helen Owen, Team Lead, Relay for Life. “It is an amazing accomplishment to be the No.1 Relay in the country again this year.”
This year’s event was held May 9-10 at Masich Place Stadium and was the country’s only 24-hour relay.
There were over 300 Relay For Life events across the country with proceeds put towards cancer prevention, research and to assist people living with the disease.
Prince George was also the number one Relay For Life last year raising over $600,000.
If you’d like to donate you can do so until the end of August. To learn more click here.
