Prince George, B.C. – Thousands of people have gathered in Quesnel this long weekend for Skyfest, the Quesnel International Airshow.

The event is taking place at the Quesnel airport with camping facilities available for the many out-of-towners who’ve joined resident of the city to watch the many planes, aerobatic performers and parachutists in the sky, the fantastic land machines such as the Flash Fire Jet Truck and to look over the vintage vehicles on display at the show.

Hot on the heels of the first-ever Twilight Show at Skyfest Friday night, upwards of six thousand fans were on hand Saturday for a jam-packed day of entertainment.  Our 250 News photographer was among them and sent along these photos out of the hundreds he took.

There is so much more to see in person.  The Quesnel International Airshow resumes with gates opening at 8 this morning, pre-show aerobatics at 10 am and the show running through to 4:15 this afternoon.

These kind of events are great for a community. It’s too bad Prince George couldn’t keep their airshow.

Its certainly a great attraction for the City of Quesnel. It will be a gala week-end.

Not that far away if one wanted to attend.
