NDP Change Nomination Date
Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo-Prince George NDP riding association has moved up its nomination date.
Originally scheduled as a mail-in ballot August 29, they have now instead scheduled three separate nomination meetings: Williams Lake, August 22; Quesnel, August 23; and, Prince George, August 24.
Members must attend a meeting in order to vote. Further information, including times and locations of meetings, haven’t been confirmed yet.
Riding president Peter McMillan says the change was made after the election writ was dropped last weekened.
Three candidates are vying for the party’s nomination – Laura Zimmerman, Debora Munoz and Trent Derrick.
Conservative Todd Doherty is the only confirmed candidate in the race so far. Canadians will go to the polls October 19.
