Prince George, B.C. – Various breeds of dogs strutted their stuff today at the Bark in the Park event at Duchess Park Dog Park.

“We had 15 to 20 entrants,” said Zoe Nunes, co-organizer of the event. “It’s way more than we expected here.”

She adds it was so popular they may have to make it an annual event. “This was a school project but with such a big turnout we might have to do it again or try and get the city involved.”

Canines competed in various categories including waggiest tail, golden oldie, cutest puppy and furriest coat.

Nunes, a UNBC MBA student, said the goal of the event was to help raise awareness for the BC SPCA, especially the Prince George chapter.
