Fort. St. John, B.C. – A 30 year man has been charged with Attempted Murder following a stabbing just west of Fort. St. John last week.
“In the early morning hours of August 6, 2015, Peter Hamelin was at a house party on Paradise Lane in Charlie Lake when an altercation ensued between Hamelin and the homeowner,” says Sgt. Steve Perret of the Serious Crime Unit in Fort St. John.
“Hamelin is alleged to have threatened to kill the victim immediately before slicing the victim’s neck open with a knife.”
He says the 33 year old victim was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Perret says Hamelin appeared in court today and was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is August 26.
