Thursday, August 20, 2015 @ 10:15 AM

Prince George, B.C. -Two men and three women  will have a date in court as a result of a drug investigation at a residence in the 1800 block of Spruce Street.

Prince George RCMP along with  members of the Police Dog Services Section, and  Drug Task Force Section executed a  search warrant on the home  last Saturday afternoon.

The search resulted in the seizure of  cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, MDMA ( ecstasy)  prescription drugs and  drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Thirteen people inside the residence at the time were arrested,  of which a 20 year old male, 34 year old male, 35 year old female, 32 year old  female and 41 year old female were released on a Promise to Appear for court  in November of this year.   The others, including  a 14 year old girl and 15 year old boy, were released without  court documents pending further investigation.

Police say the search warrant was the result of information  provide to them by people in the neighbourhood who are  committed  to clearing their neighbourhood   of this kind  of activity.

I always love the ———— they are out promising to return for their trial date and then we spend more money looking for them because they did not show

Do you have any real statistics, catlover, on how often people released on a Promise to Appear do not show up?

I can’t help but wonder about the 14 year old & 15 year old. How did they get into such a messy life? Sad thing !

The cost of keeping them in custody till November would cost way more

To bad we could not farm this out to the lowest bidder..say Mexico

Interesting point X-it, and people seem to agree with you – myself included. In fact, I’d love to see a survey done on how Canadians feel about exporting criminals to be housed in a lower cost jurisdiction – say Mexico. I suspect a majority would support it.

Then, I’d like someone to explain to me why the same Canadians who voted in favour of exporting prisoners, would blow a gasket if instead someone opened a low cost prison in Canada, and staffed it with Mexican prison guards and maintenance staff. The only real difference is where the building is located.

They keep busting the dealers and users but seem to avoid getting the suppliers. I used to have suppliers living next door. Any time calls to the cops were made about suspicious activity they always showed up 5 minutes after everyone had left.

Ski, ever heard of Rock and a Hard Place, or damned if you do, damned if you don’t?
Be interesting if this idea is being tossed around, god forbid Civil Libertarians (BCCLA) got hold of it. They’d be aghast that some common sense folks think that’s a good idea. LOL

@Dumbfounded

Criminals have scanners too!

Good news …. wish they could get rid of all of them! Good riddance!
