Railway Museum Hosts Family Fun Day
Prince George, B.C. – The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum closed out its summer season in fine fashion Saturday with a Family Fun Day. And perhaps it came just in time.
Umbrellas and buttoned jackets were definitely the order of the day as precipitation and temperature made it feel more like the beginning of October than the end of August. However that didn’t stop our future locomotive engineers from taking a train ride, enjoying some tasty food or getting involved in other activities organized by Executive Director Ranjit Gill and her staff.
Of course it was much drier inside where admission was yours for the donation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army food bank.
Now as of today the Railway and Forestry Museum moves to its Fall and Winter schedule. The museum will be closed Sundays and Mondays and open from 11 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
A couple of events to look forward to: The Halloween Fairytale on October 24th and the very popular Celebration of Lights, running from December 18th until Christmas Eve.
