Prince George, B.C. – It’s an interesting time of year, colour-wise, in the Prince George area.

On this second-to-last day of August we are still able to experience the bright colours of summer in floral displays which abound in residential gardens and city parks and byways.

And then, on the other hand, we are seeing a rather rapid change in the colour of leaves on the trees, transforming from lush greens to yellows and oranges.

Too early you say?  Well, as has been mentioned by many throughout the year, everything has come early in 2015: the early onslaught of warm temperatures back in April which made it feel like June, the early arrival of the Bobtail Lake forest fire which, fortunately for this region, turned out to be the lone “major” fire of the wildfire season in these parts, and now it would appear, the early arrival of fall.

Whatever the season, there certainly are some radiant colours to be enjoyed.
