This Spuds For You!
Prince George, B.C. – The second annual Potato Festival at Huble Homestead Historic Site is in full swing.
Visitors of all ages are getting in on the spud action which includes tater-centered games and crafts and a special starchy lunch menu.
Along with all the potato fun, there’s also the live music of Raghu Lokanathan and Royce Unruh, tours and demonstrations.
So why host a potato festival we asked operations manager Krystal Leason.
“We were looking for a new event for this weekend and we had talked about a celebration of food,” she said. “There’s strawberry and garlic festivals in the south so it started as a joke but we were thinking what grows well here, potatoes.”
If you’d like to get in on the fun, the event continues today before wrapping up tomorrow afternoon.
The Potato Festival is the last event of the summer season at Huble Homestead.
