Suspicious Death in Fort St. John
Fort St. John, B.C.- A Fort St. John woman is in custody following after police discovered the body of a man alongside the Alaska Highway in Taylor.
RCMP say they had stopped a white pick up truck in Taylor Sunday night . The female driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
The police investigation led them to find the body of the registered owner of the vehicle, 51 year old Kirk Morin, on the easement between Cherry Avenue and the Alaska Highway.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious between a male and female or anyone who saw a white Dodge dually pick-up in Taylor, specifically around the arena and community center, Sunday night to please contact them. As well, a police officer spoke to a few people in Taylor earlier in the evening. The RCMP would very much like to speak to these people again regarding this incident and request that they call the detachment at 250-787-8100.
The Fort St. John General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Section, General Duty members and Prince George Major Crime Unit are all actively investigating this death.
