Williams Lake, BC – Efforts to locate a Williams Lake man missing since Thursday have, so far, been unsuccessful…

Lonnie Widdoes, shown at right in photo provided by RCMP, left his residence early Thursday morning and was expected back within a reasonable time.

RCMP say Widdoes’ truck was located in the Sheep Creek bridge area, west of Williams Lake, late in the day and a full search was initiated by Search and Rescue officials at first light on Friday.

So far, RCMP say there’s been no sign of the missing man, but the matter is still under investigation.  Police say Widdoe’s family is very concerned for his well-being and is asking anyone who may have seen the man, or have information on his whereabouts to contact the Williams Lake Detachment at 250-392-6211.
