Prince George, B.C. – The end of the outdoor market season in Prince George is upon us, and it was quite evident on a sunny Saturday which produced a high temperature of about 10 degrees downtown.

The Friends of the Market Fairs outside the Prince George Farmer’s Market on Sixth Avenue saw fewer vendors and much lighter pedestrian traffic on its final day.  The Farmer’s Market, of course, runs all year round.

And over on 3rd Avenue, there were few vendors and not much traffic to speak of outside the courthouse at the Wilson Square Market.

What lies ahead for next year?  That remains to be seen as the City desires to have one central market in the 6th Avenue, 7th Avenue, George Street area.

What a great summer it was. The produce was bountiful, creating very colourful market stalls. Thanks to all the vendors for your hard work.
