Houston, B.C. – Highway 16 is closed in both directions 3 km west of Houston.

Drive BC attributes the closure to a motor vehicle incident and say an assessment is currently in progress.

No word yet on when the highway may reopen and no detour is currently available.

This is the second time Highway 16 West has been closed this weekend.

It was closed for several hours in both directions at Fort Fraser after a fatal crash yesterday morning.
