Sunday, October 4, 2015 @ 9:09 PM

Vanderhoof, B.C. – Two people have been arrested in connection to a double homicide in Vanderhoof back in 2013.

Twenty-one year old Shaun Keith Goodwin of Vanderhoof and a twenty year old male, (who was 17 years old at the time of the offence and can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act), have been charged with two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of 29 year old Blaine Albert Barfoot and 40 year old Tara Lee Ann Williams.

The murders took place January 13, 2013 in a mobile home on Silvermill Road in the the east end of Vanderhoof, and RCMP Corporal Dave Tyreman says the arrests follow “a very intense investigation” by the North District Major Crime Unit.

Both victims were known to local police who say the two lived a high risk lifestyle.

Tyreman says the investigation remains ongoing and asks anyone with new information to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
