Prince George, B.C. – The final road rehabilitation project of the year started on 15th Avenue between Ospika and Foothills today.

The City estimates it will cost $387,000 and take about five days to complete depending on weather conditions.

Motorists are advised to look for alternate routes whenever possible and to drive with caution when encountering crews.

The total budget for the rehabilitation of roads, gravel roads, and sidewalks for the year in Prince George is $7 million.

Looks like we are starting to make some progress on roads. Next years budget should also be around $7 Million.

This road was re-paved not even 4 years ago. At this rate, every road that gets re-paved will have to be done again in 4 years. The old roads were great, they actually lasted 10 years or so before having to be re-done.
