Charities to Benefit From New Cougars Partnership
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars and MNP, a local accounting and business consulting firm, have teamed up to benefit the Prince George Community Foundation.
MNP has launched its ‘Score for the Community’ program, and is donating $10 to the foundation for every goal the Cougars score at home during the WHL regular season. Rod Quiring with MNP’s Prince George office says “It’s great to be able to partner with the Cougars on a promotion that rewards the team’s success and supports the community at the same time.”
“MNP is still new to Prince George, having just opened our office in January, but our local team members have lived here for years and we wanted to find a way to give back.”
Using investment income generated by endowment funds, the Foundation allocates grants to a wide variety of charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life in areas such as health, sports, recreation, arts, culture, social services and the environment.
Executive Director Brenda Langlois says “the PGCF would like to thank MNP and the Prince George Cougars for their support with the announcement of the Score for the Community program.”
Cougars Vice President- Business Andy Beesley says “the Cougars are proud to team up with MNP and the Score for the Community fundraising program. We feel our hockey team is positioned to be a major positive force in our community, and this is another great example of us working side by side with other businesses like MNP who feel the same way about contributing to our community in such a tangible and helpful manner.”
All of the money raised through the promotion will be donated to the MNP Community Fund, which supports the ongoing operating costs of the Foundation.
